The Meddling Lime - Authentic Mexican Food Truck in Portland

I've been twice now and I am hooked! The first time I got the fried chicken, the seared blackened cod and cauliflower tacos and i was absolutely blown away. Second visit i got the chicken Verde, blackened cod again (my favorite), and the chili poached shrimp tacos. All of them were so different and very unique in their own way, but all super delicious and made with fresh quality ingredients. I look forward to trying more of the menu. Definitely going to be a regular. The people working the cart are very friendly and remembered us from the first time we visited.

We drove down to Westmoreland from North Portland specifically to try this place and we loved it! The food was delicious and well priced, the service was beyond incredible and friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect to suit our needs. I enjoyed three different tacos (Braised Verde Chicken, Black Bean and Roasted Poblano, and Fried Chicken!). My partner loved the Original Potato Burrito with Avocado, and my son demolished the kids quesadilla! Very dank Mexican food with some serious flavor! They have amazing vegetarian options, too! I highly recommend adding this spot to your weekly Mexican food go to!!

Ordered the corn and poblano chimichanga, delicious! Decent amount of food, comes with delicious cheese and sauces on top and they give you more salsa on the side as needed! Highly recommend!

OK…, I got the pastor chimichanga! It was full of black beens, charred peppers, cilantro,herbs, fresh veggies, salty cheese! Just packed with flavor. Saved it into the map as a favorite.! Stop by and give it a try.

Absolutely some of the best food! I usually get the corn and pablano burrito, but I also love their blackened cod! Their habanero salsa is devine and one of the reasons I love going. Everyone that I've interacted with here is amazing! Hope they can someday get a little hole in the wall, but for now I'm happy to eat outside.

Wow! Initially, I thought $5 was a bit steep for 1 taco. Coming from California, I’m used to street tacos being ~$2. However, considering the serving size of 1 taco from Meddling Lime, which is very generous, I was happy to give away my money. I got the Braised Verde Chicken, which was so juicy and tender! It balanced well with the acidity from the lime, salsa, and red onions. Ingredients were so fresh and made to order. I will definitely be back.

This Crispy Rice may be one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted. The egg and the crispy rice meld together so deliciously. Try it.

My boyfriend and I went on a roll the dice adventure. We wanted to try food somewhere new and ended up at the Meddling Lime. Their menu looks... interesting, but we gave it a try. Oh my goodness is it amazing! I ordered the crispy rice with chicken. It had amazing flavor and texture. Their fried chicken is made in front of you and is so much tastier than many places. My boyfriend ordered a fried chicken burrito. He was giving it thumbs up and happy hums the whole time. To finish it off we had one of their “famous” lime snickerdoodle cookies. I had never heard of them before, but I will now tell of their wonders. They are hard to imagine until you have sunk your teeth into one, and then you understand. The citrus zest perfectly compliments the sweetness of the cookie, and I don’t know that I’ve had a better flavored cookie (although it was a bit dry). Overall, I would recommend this awesome food to anyone looking to eat some outstanding food outside the traditional restaurant box!
